I changed my dish to 36e and only receive zap tv and no dstv channels. What am I doing wrong?

you not doing anything wrong .. its just that the beam you are receiving signal from is not the one you want (or can get).

You probably in an area that doesn't get the 36e dstv beam (it only covers NE South Africa).

check lyingsat for coverage map.

Thanks skramrox I checked the footprint there is 36eA and 36eB which covers cape town and it shows a strong beam I have a 90cm dish

More bad news ...

36e(b) has various "beams" pointed in different directions and each one broadcasting different things.

DSTV is on the SubSahara African beam (cannot pick this up in CT ... even with a 10m dish)
