A tram driver is being quizzed by police after horrific footage emerged of her crushing two pedestrians on her first day at work.
The tram that seemed to be going too fast had been stopped in its tracks at a junction by a collision with a bus in Perm, a city on the banks of Russia's Kama River.
But when it began to reverse out of the tangle, the driver failed to see pedestrians walking behind the tram.
CCTV footage of the incident shows the tram which is blocking the pedestrian crossing starting to reverse just as a crowd of people are walking behind it, hitting several and crushing two of them against a car and them bounced back under the tram.
The driver still seems not to realise what is happening, and after briefly stopping she then starts to reverse again crushing the two men even more, even while other pedestrians bang on the sides of the vehicle.
