The deadly Boko Haram sect has taken over another Borno town after the
successful capture of Damboa about a month ago.
The new territory under the control of the terrorist group, is hilly Gwoza
town which succumbed to the superior power of the Islamic fundamentalist
group on Tuesday.
A large detachment of the sect were said to have completely overran the
town and causing the residents to flee into the hills and neighbouring
Cameroonian villages.
A resident of the area that called from one of the hills he had fled to with
some other residents of the town who spoke to journalists anonymously,
said the Boko Haram terrorists besieged the town in many utility vehicles and
Armoured cars.
