Dstv decoder swap program

There are strong rumours that MultiChoice Africa will commence Decoder swap!!!MultiChoice Africa Limited (MAL) will engage in a “Swop Out” project whereby old legacy /non-secure decoders currently being used by some DStv subscribers will be exchanged for newer decoder models at a fee. MultiChoice is upgrading its technology platform to enable the company to enhance its DStv service to subscribers. In future the technology upgrade will affect legacy decodes which will no longer be able to receive the DStv services, and hence the following decoders will no longer be repaired or sold by MultiChoice. Decoders in question for the swop out:• DSD 910• DSD 933• DSD 990• MCDSD (single view, 660, 720 & 720i). Once all the non-secure decoders have been swopped out, MultiChoice will no longer support any of these affected decoders. Please note the swop out process requires an active and current subscription to DStv to qualify.
