Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez believes Barcelona could lose its playmaker Lionel Messi, 26, to the ‘Los Blancos’, if the careless nature with which the Argentine is being looked after continues.
A Messi shock move to the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu cannot be completely ruled out says Sanchez, who played as a striker for the capital city club between 1985 and 1992.
It is rare for a player to move between the two arch-rivals, with Javier Saviola being the only player to have done that in the past 14 years, when he left Barca for Real in 2007.

Though Barca has reiterated willingness on improving the four-time player of the year’s current deal- which runs until 2018-, Sanchez believes they are vulnerable to bids.
“Messi is not feeling valued highly enough by Barcelona with his contract and they must be careful,” Saviola told Bein Sport.
“If Barca are careless, I can see Real Madrid signing him.”
