A lecturer was detained by police on suspicion of m****r out of jealousy after a
student died from gunshot wound in Agbor, Delta State.
Leadership reports about an unusual incident that occurred during a party in a bar
at Alihami Community when a senior lecturer allegedly shot a male student of the
institution for giving his girlfriend a hug.
It was gathered that the lecturer works in the department of Chemistry, College of
Education, in Agbor, Delta State.
According to the eyewitnesses, the student who hugged the lecturer’s lady in a
joyous greeting was almost immediately shot to death.
The killer fired a volley of shots into the air and vanished. The police officers
from Agbor Division arrived on the scene and brought the situation under control.
Sources at the police divisional headquarters in Agbor confirmed the incident and
assured that it is under thorough investigation.
