So Technically Mr Cracker Cracks an AV gets rid of activation or modifies it so as to accept a fake activation code. Now that AV is your line of Defense against Infections & Intrusions
Would you trust someone you never met to Crack your Security and not crack it in a way that you don't realize that there is now a Backdoor into your Computer and possibly your Home Network?
By All Means use The Keygens or Licence codes out there!!
Providing the Keygen is not a Patcher as well as that does the same thing as a crack and modifies Program or System files!
I managed to get a licence key for Kaspersky Pure and i got a full 365 Days Without it getting black listed!
Core make Amazing Keygen's! I got a Keygen for Trend Micro's PC Cillin Internet Security Years ago used a Core Keygen to generate the code Activated Properly in the app on their website and never got blocked or blacklisted Trend Micro Actually thought it was genuine! Amazing!
I Would always suggest if you are downloading an Antivirus or Security Suite with Activation Code Etc:
Dont use the installer Provided!!
Download the Same one From the Publishers website! use an installer you know wont be modified! There are alot of fake apps out there which come in a variety of different installers and to the un-trained eye you would not notice the difference until i installed a load of crap on your system and infected you!

i have managed to obtain older versions for that purpose via their website.
But Freebies Like AVG are good and i must say that i found AVG to be as good as if not better than some of the Payed Versions

2 Giving you some kind of Trojan Virus or even a Trojan Downloader
Yes some of these packed apps you can simply extract the files get what you want and del the crap.
But to the normal Person that sees:
Press any Key to Start
looks at the Keyboard looks at the screen then asks:
Where is the Any Key?
That kinda person is a victim for sure!
When do this sort of thing running keygens or other Patches if you trust them.
Obviously scan it first with your AV
if nothing Detected Run the App in a SandBox
or use my Favorite Shadow Defender
Which completely Stops Viruses and any Unwanted system Changes!
You can screw your system up or Run a virus and infect it like a leper
Soon as your system Restart's All that will be gone!
The Last time you started your computer before you entered shadow mode that exactly what your system will be like after restart!
